Full Throttle Jamie: The Road to Powder Mountain

The Man. The Machine. The Monster Run

The Mission Meet Jamie Barrow. He’s a husband, an athlete, and a fighter. Since his ALS diagnosis in 2017, Jamie has been losing physical mobility, but he hasn't lost his speed. On March 27th, we are heading to Powder Mountain, Utah, to compete in the Brian McKenna TetraSki Express—the premier national race for the most advanced adaptive ski technology in the world.

The Tech Jamie skis using the TetraSki, a high-tech "joystick-controlled" powerhouse that allows him to navigate the mountain with precision. We’ve been training hard on the slopes of Colorado, dialing in the actuator speeds and turn shapes to make sure Jamie isn't just "participating"—he’s competing for the podium.

The Aesthetic If you know Jamie, you know he doesn't do "boring." For this race, we’re leaning into the grit of the old-school X-Games. Think monster-goblins, drag racing style, and pure adrenaline. Jamie is even designing custom AI-generated race shirts to capture that high-octane spirit.

How You Can Help Traveling with a TetraSki, specialized seating, and a full support team (including Jamie's wife, Melanie, and his coaches) is a massive undertaking. Your donations will go directly toward:

  • Transportation and lodging for Jamie’s support team.

  • Specialized adaptive equipment maintenance and race-prep.

  • Travel expenses to get Jamie to the starting gate in Utah.

Join the Team We aren't just going to Utah to ski; we're going to prove that ALS can’t stop the drive to compete. Every dollar gets us one foot closer to the finish line.
